What is the welding process?
We use a specially designed permanent jewellery Arc welder to safely and painlessley weld the ends of the chain together.Â
Skin Protection: A small leather pad is placed directly between the customer’s skin and the jump ring to shield against heat or rogue sparks.
​Eye Safety: The arc emits a brief and intense flash of light so you will be asked to wear safety glasses to block harmful UV and infrared light.
​Zero Heat Transfer: Because the electrical pulse lasts for a fraction of a second, heat doesn't travel down the chain. The metal cools instantly to the touch, making the process pain-free.
Is the jewellery safe for daily wear?
Absolutely. Our pieces are designed with comfort in mind, featuring lightweight materials and a secure bond that allows for seamless integration into your everyday life.
How should I care for my bonded piece?
Simply clean with a warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush, or a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive materials to preserve the integrity of the bond and the longevity of your jewellery.
Are there any restrictions for bonding?
We recommend avoiding the bonding process if you have an active skin condition, a pacemaker or are pregnant. Always consult with our artist to ensure the safest experience.
